This Storm Cloud Looked Like It Wanted To Devour Rochester
We know that the storms we've seen over the past were pretty intense. Last night, they were especially brutal throughout southeast Minnesota. This photo proves it!
If there was ever a movie poster created for a movie about Rochester facing an apocalypse... this photo would surely be the model for it!
It was taken by my friend Bharath Wootla, who I met at a party this summer. He was taking pictures there, and when I saw how they turned out I fell in love with his photography! This is just another photo that shows how talented he is.
According to our friends at 1340 KROC-AM, the storms that took over southeast Minnesota caused quite a bit of damage. They explained, "The reports include damaged or destroyed buildings, large numbers of downed trees and power outages. Significant damage was reported at the Faribault airport. Winds gusts up to 70 mph were reported in the storm zone as were several suspected tornadoes."
Stay with us as we keep you informed of severe weather when it happens! Thankfully, this weekend looks much calmer.
