Should Minnesota Schools Try Announcing Snow Days Like This? (WATCH)

I am glancing at the weather for Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, and I am going to say it...it really looks like we could have another snow day for kids this week.  A few years ago, a Superintendent of a school got creative with its "snow day" message and I think this would be awesome if a Minnesota school district put its own "snow day" touch on it.

Instead of the typical phone call, text message, and e-mail breaking the news to sleeping parents everywhere, I think schools in our area should mix things up a bit and try something new.

The Superintendent of Missouri Valley Community Schools created an absolutely amazing video with the Bruno Mars Song 'Uptown Funk'.  I was laughing so hard as I watched (and I even sang along a bit!).

Before I got my radio gig, when my kids had a snow day, I would need to take off of work too since they were younger.  We didn't really have any traditions but playing board games and making cookies were sometimes part of our fun.  Oh, and just wearing our pj's all day!
