The Winona County Sheriff's Office put out the request for your help Wednesday, and here's how you can lend a hand!

My dad was a police officer back in Wisconsin for over 30 years, so I've always been a big supporter of law enforcement and the work those brave men and women (and canines!) do to keep us safe. I'm also a big animal-lover, so this request from the Winona County Sheriff's Office really resonated with me.

According to a post on their Facebook page, the Winona County SO is currently in the running to receive a much-needed grant to help fund their K-9 program. As the post said the grant would, "Help with purchasing food, bedding, medical care and equipment for training, safety and transportation of our K9, Cleo. She is an award-winning 8-year-old Belgian Malinois that has been working with the Winona County Sheriff’s Office for over 7 years. She works with Deputy Adam Carlson every day as a team working in Winona County," the post noted.

So here's how you can help: All you have to do is click here to cast your vote for Cleo and the Winona County Sheriff's Office at THIS SITE. It's all part of the 10th Anniversary Grant Contest, sponsored by Aftermath, a company that does trauma clean-up and biohazard removal. You can vote once every 24 hours now through November 3rd; winners will be announced November 6th. You can also cast your vote once a day on social media, using  #AftermathK9Grant in your posts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram.

Let's help K9 Cleo and Winona County bring home the win!
