Temperatures Set to Sharply Fall Again in Southeast Minnesota
Ah, fall in Minnesota... when the weather can be like July and then abruptly change to feel more like October, all in just a few days.
And that's exactly what's going to happen to our high temperatures here in southeast Minnesota over the next few days. Even though the official start of fall took place with the autumnal equinox at 8:30 Tuesday morning, the weather across our neck of the woods has felt much more like summer than autumn this week, with sunny skies and highs in the low 80's.
But... yeah, that's all going to change in the next few days, and by next Wednesday, high temperatures could be nearly 30 degrees cooler than they were this week. Because, Minnesota, right?
That's the word from Chris Kuball, Chief Meteorologist at ABC-6, who posted the rather telling weather tale on his Twitter page, noting that while we'll still see nice weather Friday, with partly cloudy skies and a high near 83 degrees. Heck, even Saturday isn't looking too bad, with a high forecast near 80.
Chris notes that things start to head south right after that, though. In fact, on Sunday, we'll only reach a high temperature of about 69 degrees, then 66 on Monday, 58 on Tuesday, and only a nippy 53 degrees for the high temperature on Wednesday-- roughly 30 degrees less than our highs which were in the low 80's Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
