
Teenager Killed in NE Minnesota Wreck
Floodwood, MN (KROC AM News) - A teenager was killed in a traffic wreck in northeast Monday Saturday.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a car driven by 17-year-old Logan Hink of Brookston crossed the centerline of a road near Floodwood and collided head-on with another vehicle.
A passenger in his car was killed. She was identified as 17-year-old Emma Abernathy of Proctor. Hink was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The other driver was identified as 52-year-old Annette Humphrey of Deer River. She and a 14-year-old passenger were also treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The wreck happened on Highway 2 around 6:00 AM. The State Patrol report says there was snow and ice on the road at the time.
