If you were planning on making a Target run on Thanksgiving Day, think again.

Last week, we heard the news that Walmart would be closed on Thanksgiving Day.  This morning on Target.com, the giant Minneapolis based company shared the news that they too would be closed on Thanksgiving Day.  You can read the statement from Target's CEO here.

“The investments we’ve made in our business and our incredible team have enabled us to move with flexibility and speed to meet guests’ changing needs during this global pandemic,” says Target CEO Brian Cornell. “This year more than ever, a joyful holiday will be inseparable from a safe one, and we’re continuing to adjust our plans to deliver ease, value and the joy of the season in a way that only Target can.”

The Christmas shopping season always seems so rushed and crowded and Target is aimed to help keep everyone safe.  As a result, they will be starting early holiday sales in October.  They are claiming that their best deals will be starting then both in the store and also online.  So, unless you physically need to see the item yourself, you really won't have a need to go to their stores.

Now I'm starting to wonder who the next store will be to announce changes to their holiday shopping?  Who do you think it will be? Let me know over on my Facebook page (Jessica On The Radio) or DM me on Instagram.
