Work on rebuilding the roadway was supposed to start this summer, however a delay in federal funding approval forced the project’s start to be pushed back.

City staff had recommended capping next year’s tax levy increase at 10.35% when compared to the 2024 city levy.

City officials note the project will be done in phases to allow the treatment plant to continue operating.

Multiple seats for the Rochester City Council and a seat on the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners are on the 2024 Primary Ballot.

The price tags of the three properties range from about $2.7 million to more than $6.3 million.

The subsidy will go towards lowering the prices of just over 200 new houses that are set to be built in northwest Rochester.

The proposal would help spur the construction of about 200 new single-family homes priced at between $368,000 and $479,000.
