On Wednesday, September 2, Surly Brewing Company -- one of Minnesota's largest and most renowned breweries locally and nationwide -- announced its indefinite closure beginning November 3.
With the Minnesota State Fair not happening this year, something else is also not happening: a lot of craft beer from great Minnesota craft brewers isn't going to be consumed.
While they'll be able to open their taproom again to outdoor seating in June, a planned expansion of their brewery isn't happening, thanks to the ongoing pandemic.
