I realize that Taco Tuesday isn't exactly the best timing for this news to break, but just in case you were planning on making some homemade tacos tonight, I wanted to pass on a quick heads-up.

The FDA just announced a precautionary recall of a popular taco seasoning sold at Walmart stores throughout Minnesota. That product would be Great Value Mild Taco Seasoning Mix. According to the FDA, the seasoning is said to contain cumin, which is already part of a different salmonella recall issued by Mincing Spice Company.

If you ended up buying this product, you're urged to toss it in the trash immediately. You can also return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. While there have yet to be any reports of illnesses linked to this taco seasoning, it's definitely better to be safe than sorry. More info on the recall below:

Recalled Product: 1-ounce package of Great Value Mild Taco Seasoning Mix
Item Number: 050215
UPC: 0 41220 79609 0
'Best By' Date: 07/10/2021, 07/11/2021, and 07/15/2021

Considering that this recall is only for the 'mild' version, I'm thankful that I like my taco seasoning the same way I like my tacos: HOT.
