Motorists traveling westbound on I-90 near Nodine will need to find an alternate route.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, an accident has forced the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 to be closed near Nodine. The road is closed from the Winona County 12 exit to Highway 61. Only emergency vehicles are allowed to enter the area.

The road closure is expected to last until Noon, according to MnDOT.

Another crash occurred at the Hwy 61/I-90 interchange this morning, according to the Winona County Sheriff's Office Facebook Page. The Sheriff's Office is asking motorists to avoid the area if possible as they assist the State Patrol with the crash.

Highway 61 southbound is being detoured through the City of Dakota, while I-90 westbound is being detoured into Highway 61 northbound.
