There's a unique, sort of secret restaurant in Rochester, Minnesota called ThaiPop. I had never heard of the place until today (that's why I'm calling it 'secret') but it sounds awesome! They're a take-out-only establishment with no physical building. They're also only open on Sundays.

The owner, Annie, is from Thailand and their 'About' section of their website says her love of food came from watching her mom cook. When her mom passed away, she learned as much as she could about cooking from her aunt. And now we have ThaiPop, which she opened with her husband and Rochester native, Ryan.

ThaiPop is different from other restaurants, and not just because they're only open on Sundays. They're kind of like a meal prep service to me. Annie creates a new menu every few weeks and on Sundays from 6 PM to midnight you place your take-out order for later that week. Yep, you order your food Sunday and then the pick-up days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Pick-up is from 4:30 to 7 PM at Nellie's on 3rd. There's a special section in their restaurant for ThaiPop pick-ups.

It's recommended that you place your order right at 6 PM because they can sell out. If you want to order from ThaiPop, go HERE Sunday evening. And I'm not super surprised because the food sounds really good! Here's what was on the menu for this week to give you an idea of what they serve:

Watercress Salad
Yum Yum Wings
Spicy Thai Basil Stir-Fry
Spicy Vegetable and Thai Basil Stir-Fry
Pad Thai
Roasted Vegetable Green Curry
Brussel Sprouts (side)
Son-in-Law Eggs (side)
Mango Sticky Rice (dessert)
