Southeast Minnesota Toys for Tots was named National Campaign of the Year for 2017. In 2017, 14,507 toys were donated and distributed to 7,751 children living in Olmsted, Dodge, Winona, Wabasha, Houston, and Filmore counties. This is not an easy feat by any means given that incomes are tighter, which means fewer donations and more need for the donations they get. This group also won honors in 2012. Toys for Tots was not only recognized for the local drive but the man behind it.  Marine Corps First Sgt. Vince Reynolds was also named local coordinator of the year out of 800 communities involved in Toys for Tots. He says what matters to him are the children Toys for Tots helps and the generosity of those who make Christmas special for them each and every year. Reynolds said in a statement that this is a local program, even though they have a national face, all of their donations both financial and toys come locally and all those donations stay local. The 2018 Campaign runs This year's toy drive goes from November 17 - December 20. However, donations can be made year-round by clicking
