Salvation Army Bells Start Ringing in Rochester on Friday, November 13th
Get your loose change ready because the bells will soon be ringing in Rochester for The Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army in Rochester will be going live on Facebook on Friday, November 13th to kick-off the bell ringing season. According to the press release sent by The Salvation Army of Rochester, red kettles will be at various locations in Rochester, Byron, Stewartville, and Chatfield this year.
2020 has been a year with struggles for many individuals and families in our area and now more than ever, The Salvation Army needs your dollars and change in the kettles and volunteers to ring.
“We talk a lot about goals for dollars raised, but at the end of the day, it’s about serving people. COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on peoples’ lives in this community, and we at The Salvation Army are asking for support to ensure that we can provide for as many people as possible in the coming year.” - said Major Bob Mueller
If you haven't signed up yet to ring bells, 6,142 hours are still available. Due to COVID-19, virtual kettles are also available this year and are a great option for everyone to help but may not feel safe ringing a bell in person. Get all the info for both options here.
