Rural Dodge Center Farming Accident Sends Man to Hospital
Dodge Center, MN (KROC-AM News) - An accident on a farm near Dodge Center left a man with his leg trapped under an auger.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department responded to a farm on 165th Avenue about a mile west of Triton High School and found the man at the bottom of a grain bin with his leg trapped and his clothing caught in the auger. The Deputies and First Responders worked to stabilize the corn in the bin while crews spent about a half hour freeing the man from the machinery.
Mayo One was called to the scene, but the man was transported to St. Marys Hospital by ambulance to be treated for non-life threatening wounds that included lacerations and an ankle injury. His name and other information about his medical condition have not been released.
