Rochester’s Regular Gas Prices Inching Closer To $5 A Gallon

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Another week, another gas record for Rochester motorists.
Local convenience stores increased pump prices again Sunday night, raising the cost for a gallon of regular from $4.35 to $4.50.
They rose by a dime a gallon a week ago.
Local prices first hit $4 a gallon in early May and remain among the highest in the state. There are pockets in Minnesota where gas is still selling for under $4.
According to GasBuddy, the average price for a gallon of regular in Minnesota was $4.24 as of Tuesday morning. A month ago the average was $3.90. It was $2.84 at this time a year ago.
Remember when gas was selling for under $2 a gallon in Rochester? That was in May 2020.
