Rochester Woman & Preston Man Severely Hurt in Separate Crashes
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has issued additional information concerning two serious injury crashes that occurred in the Rochester area over the weekend.
The Rochester woman injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 63 Sunday afternoon has been identified as 74-year-old Agustina Miller. The State Patrol says she suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision at Reinke's Corner. T officials say she was driving south on Highway 63 when her SUV collided with a vehicle traveling east on Highway 247, also known as White Bridge Road. The other driver, 53-year-old Eliezer Soulette of Arcadia Wisconsin was also transported to St. Marys Hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The State Patrol is also reporting that alcohol was involved in a three-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday night in Kasson. The crash report says alcohol was detected in 27-year-old Devon Block after the Preston man drove in the wrong direction in the eastbound lanes of Highway 14 and collided with two other vehicles.
He was transported to St. Marys Hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the drivers of the two other vehicles were brought in with non-life-threatening injuries. They were identified as 20-year-old Madison Ryg of Janesville and 26-year-old Javier Quiahua.
