Rochester Student Could Win a $30,000 Prize from Google
I know we've got a whole bunch of amazing artists in Rochester that haven't been discovered yet. Well, Google wants your doodle and...they've got a great big, $30,000 prize for the winner.
Google for Doodle is back and asking for students grades K-12 to bring all their creativity and create an amazing piece of art based on the topic, "I am strong because...". Students can use any materials that they'd like to use and submit it by February 26th through Google's entry form here.
So, students, get a piece of paper and start drawing because here is what you could win according to the website:
- One individual will have their artwork displayed on Google.com for a day. This National Winner will also receive a $30,000 college scholarship, a $50,000 technology package for their school or non-profit organization, Google hardware, and fun Googley swag
- 4 individuals will be given the title of National Finalists and will have their doodles also featured on the Doodle for Google gallery. They will also receive a $5,000 scholarship, Google hardware, and fun Googley swag.
- 54 state and territory winners will be picked and have their art featured on the Doodle for Google gallery and will also receive some Google hardware, a celebratory message from Google, and some fun Googley swag.
What are you waiting for? Start drawing and get your art entered for a chance to be on Google! There are a few rules so be sure to read through all of the specific things and also what could disqualify you here before you make that first mark on your paper. All the info is here.
