Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police have released the name of the officer who was involved in a crash Friday evening that caused traffic jams on South Broadway.

A spokesman says Officer James Ratelle was responding to a call when his squad car collided with another vehicle at the intersection of South Broadway and 4th Street. The officer was traveling west on 4th Street and had his vehicle's emergency lights and sirens activated when he entered the intersection.

Office Ratelle was not hurt, while the three occupants of the other vehicle were treated for minor injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the incident.
