Rochester Hockey Team Donating Big Money For Cancer Research
The Austin Bruins have been doing "Paint the Rink Pink" for years, and donating around $30,000 to cancer research every single year. This year, the all-new Rochester Grizzlies team hopes to do the same with their inaugural "Pink in the Rink" this weekend. All of the proceeds will go to Mayo Clinic for cancer research.
The game begins at 7p at the Rochester Rec Center on Saturday, February 16th. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. The Grizzlies will be wearing special Pink Night jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game. There will be an auction, 50/50 raffle, special "Pink in the Rink" shirts for sale, and so much more! With 100% of the proceeds going directly to Mayo Clinic.
To celebrate the Grizzlies' first season, The Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce will be doing a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the ice.
