Rochester Brewery Offering State Fair Releases This Weekend

This would have been the first weekend of the Minnesota State Fair, but even though it's not being held this year, you can enjoy some State Fair offerings this weekend right here in Rochester.

Like many Minnesotans, I was totally bummed when we heard that the Minnesota State Fair wasn't going to be held this year. (Thanks a LOT, coronavirus!) We were on our big trip to Europe last year when the State Fair was held (I know, I know-- tough gig, right?!?) so the last time we were there was two years ago and I was looking forward to going.

Luckily, though, some of my favorite Great Minnesota Get-Together things are available this weekend right here in Rah-Rah-Rochester. (Remember when that was the slogan they used to promote the Med City? I can't let it go!) L-T-S Brewing Company, located off 19th Street NW in Rochester, is putting on a mini State Fair this weekend, complete with State Fair-inspired food and drinks.

Seeing as they're a brewery, I'm looking forward to trying these State Fair-inspired beers, including Mini Donut Karma, Maple Bacon Oktoberfest, Dill Pickle Biergarten, and Strawberry Wheat Lemonade.

Or, if you're not in the mood for a beer, you might like one of these LTS State Fair-inspired sodas, like Carnival Bliss (Mini Donut), Candied Bacon, Dill Pickle, and Peach Lemonade.

And don't miss some of that traditional State Fair food, too, like: cheese curds, kettle corn, cotton candy, the dill pickle-on-a-stick, and more. LTS says the State Fair releases are available Thursday (8/27) through Saturday (8/29).
