Preston Area Chamber of Commerce To Dedicate Christmas Tree to Former Preston Volunteer
Every year since 2014 The Preston Area Chamber of Commerce dedicates a Christmas Tree, to honor someone from the community. This year, the PACC will dedicate the tree to a former volunteer.
Pete Bissen was a very active community member who was a long-time volunteer for Preston Ambulance, coaching High School and Jr. League bowling at the B&B Olympic Bowl, a Boy Scout leader and was involved with the Greenleafton Reformed church.
Bissen, an avid Fillmore Central Falcons, Vikings and Twins fan, could always be seen around the community.
The Christmas Tree Dedication Ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 9th. The Ceremony will include a welcome from the PACC Director and President, a prayer from Pastor Roger Lokker and a few words from friends of Pete. The Bissen family will also be in attendance.
If you would like to nominate someone for the tree or would like more information about community events, you can check out the PACC's Facebook page.
