We used to hear a lot about produce recalls due to nasty diarrhea-causing E. Coli or things like listeria.  I remember thinking that cupcakes and cookies never have this issue.  Well, baked goods seem to be the topic of a lot of recalls in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois lately and one recall was just expanded and includes...yep, you guessed it...cookies.

Updated Recall of Baked Goods Now Includes Cookies Sold at Popular Store in Minnesota

According to the latest recall listed on the FDA.gov website, the Enjoy Life Natural Brands LLC company announced that they have expanded the original recall from June 30th, 2022.  Several additional products have been added to the recall list due to the possibility that hard plastic pieces could be in the products.  Trader Joe's is now on the list of stores impacted by this recall.

If you bought any of the products at Walmart, Trader Joe's, or online at stores like Amazon, the FDA is suggesting that you do the following:

  • Do not eat the product and discard it
  • Keep any product packaging
  • Contact the company at 1-855-543-5335 on Monday through Friday from 9am until 6 pm EST to learn how to receive a refund.
