A drive-thru holiday light event in Owatonna not only spreads holiday cheer but also benefits Helping Paws of Southern Minnesota. The drive-thru light event is called Havana Lights and it kicks off on Thanksgiving Day.

As I mentioned, Havana Lights benefits Helping Paws. For those that don't know, Helping Paws is a nonprofit that helps get assistance dogs to those who need it. They also do TNR which stands for trap, neuter, rehome (or return) for any cats that they find. Havana Lights is a free event so it doesn't cost anything however they ask for a donation that will then be given to Helping Paws.

Donations don't have to be money either. You could donate cat or dog food or kitty litter instead. Or you could donate some food and also a monetary donation, it's up to you!

Havana Lights starts next Thursday, on Thanksgiving Day. The drive-thru event will run every day from dusk until 10 PM and, according to their website, they "will close after New Years Day 2021." The address for Havana Lights is 2048 Havana Rd, Owatonna, MN 55060. You can find more information on their website or on their Facebook event.

So if you're looking for a free drive-thru holiday light event, this is the spot for you! But please consider bringing a donation to help out Helping Paws.
