Back in the day when Oprah had her show, I dreamed of being in the audience when she had her "Favorite Things" episode.  I would have been crying like a baby in my seat!  I miss her show but I still keep up with the latest Oprah news and honestly felt some Minnesota pride as she pointed out a small town in our neck of the woods recently in The Oprah Magazine.

The article that caught my attention is "60 Charming American Towns You Haven't Heard of But Should Visit ASAP" and the one and only Lanesboro, MN is on the list.

#31 - Lanesboro, Mn  Known as the bed and breakfast capital of Minnesota, this small town (the population is just 754!) offers relaxation for couples and outdoor adventures for families in the bluffs of the Root River Valley. - The Oprah Magazine

So many fun activities to do in Lanesboro.  If you want to learn a bit more about this amazing town, check out their Facebook page here.

A few others that are nearby to check out are #22 - Galena, Illinois.  I've never been but I've heard this place is amazing and women love it.  #23 - Pella, Iowa is a place that I adore, mostly because of the food and flowers.  Tulip Time is amazing and I've been to the parade a time or two when I was a kid.

Check out all of the towns to visit and the full story here.
