Minneapolis, MN (KROC AM News) - Snow-covered roads were a factor when one Minneapolis man was killed and two others were injured after a Metro Transit Bus crashed into a 2007 Nissan Versa Sunday night.

The State Patrol said it was just before 6 pm Sunday when 29-year-old Minneapolis man Mohamed Hassan was headed south on I-94 East at Lowery Avenue in the Versa when he lost traction of his vehicle and spun out. A Metro Transit Bus traveling south on I-94 East in the right lane, which only occupied the driver, then crashed into the Versa.

The crash killed the right-side passenger of the Versa 30-year-old Rashid Faqid of Minneapolis. The third passenger, 23-year-old Ahmed Ibrahim of Minneapolis, and Hassan were transported to North Memorial Hospital. It is reported that Hassan has life-threatening injuries. Ibrahim injuries were described as non-life threatening.

The driver of the MTC bus, 30-year-old Johnette McPherson of Brooklyn Center, was not injured in the crash.
