Olmsted County Sheriff Honored As April’s Hometown Hero
If you have ever been at any community event across Olmsted County, there is a very, very good chance you have seen Kevin Torgerson there.
The Olmsted County Sheriff was recently nominated as the American Heroes Outdoors Hometown Hero for the month of April. Sheriff Torgerson is not only involved in many events and activities working with Law Enforcement and Olmsted County, but the Sheriff is also very visible without the uniform on.
Sheriff Torgerson has been a huge contributor to the Law Enforcement Torch Run along with raising money for Special Olympics with the Polar Plunge. Not to forget his incredible work with the Law Enforcement Memorial Agency. Sheriff Torgerson is a great ambassador for the community and continues to deliver and give back, without asking for much of anything in return.
I have known Sheriff Torgerson for nearly my entire life, and he was an awesome person to get to know him through the D.A.R.E program in elementary school in Stewartville, along with chatting with him on Newstalk 1340 KROC-AM!
Check out the video that shows all of Sheriff Torgerson's accomplishments, along with a look at what he has done for the community from the American Heroes Facebook Page.
