Nissan Recalls 1.3 Million Vehicles Due to Backup Camera Issues
Nissan has recalled 1.3 million vehicles throughout the U.S., Canada, as well as other countries. The recall affects most of the 2018 and 2019 Nissans and Infinitis and it's due to issues with the backup cameras.
KTTC writes that in government documents about the issue released Tuesday, they say:
Owners can adjust the camera displays so the image isn’t visible. The displays will keep that setting the next time the vehicles are shifted into reverse. That violates federal safety standards.
KTTC reports that starting Monday, October 21st, owners of affected vehicles can take their vehicle into a dealership and have the backup camera software settings will be updated at no cost to you.
