My co-workers, Luke Lonien and Ben Aberg, recently posted a list of their favorite Christmas movies or TV specials.  Let me preface this by saying, I DO NOT like the Christmas movies we are bombarded with every year on those "chick flick" stations.  They are all the same!  A family is losing their business or farm; someone gets a puppy or kitten for Christmas; Santa performs a miracle and someone falls in love.  Same movie, different actors.  Sounds like I'm a Scrooge, huh?  Not really; I just miss being able to watch The Golden Girls in the morning while I eat breakfast; now it's just Christmas movies showing.  As Sophia would say, I digress.  Back to my list.

#4  Ok, ok.  So it meets some of the criteria mentioned above. And it's not really a Christmas movie, but you have to admit that Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are just too cute.   My fourth favorite movie to watch this time of year is "You've Got Mail".

#3  "A Charlie Brown Christmas".  Who doesn't love this classic with all the Schulz characters?  When Linus takes the stage to tell the true meaning of Christmas, I get misty-eyed.

#2 "The Holiday" starring Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black.  I love this movie!  Ladies, don't you agree Jude Law is a major babe in this flick?  Ok, so the acting doesn't rate a 10 but the scenery is beautiful, Diaz finally being able to cry when she says good-bye to Law is a priceless scene, and the little girls, I mean, come on, they are just too sugary sweet for words!

#1  Drum roll, please. My all-time favorite Christmas movie is "White Christmas", starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen.  Great songs abound in this movie including "White Christmas", "Mandy", "Snow" and the fun "Sisters".  Watching the final scene makes me cry each and every time.  Here it is for your viewing pleasure. Thank you to YouTube and andrew67ist for this clip. Merry Christmas!
