McNeilus Manufacturing Facing Penalty for January Explosion
St Paul (KROC AM News) - McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing is facing a possible fine related to an explosion at its Dodge Center facility in January.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has found a serious violation was involved in the explosion that seriously burned two employees and injured four others.
OSHA is seeking a $7,000 penalty in the case, which can be contested.
The blast occurred in the vicinity of one of the large paint booths in the plant, which mainly produces garbage and cement trucks that are sold throughout the world.
At the time of the explosion, Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose said it caused significant damage inside the plant.
