Is there anything more appealing to people of all ages than a good monster truck show? From two-year-olds to 90-year-olds, we can all appreciate the power and majesty of a giant truck with comically large tires soaring through the air.

Monster Jam has become an annual event in Minneapolis and 2026 was no exception with the show hitting US Bank Stadium on February 7th and 8th of this year. However, this is something different: Monster Jam in St. Paul!

MONSTER JAM

Monster Jam got its start in 1992 and has grown into simultaneous tours of stadiums and arenas across the world. From toys to video games, Monster Jam can be found almost everywhere in 2026.

As far as I can tell, this will be Monster Jam's first foray into Grand Casino Arena (formerly Xcel Energy Center), although Hot Wheels Live has presented a similar, arena-sized show in past years at Target Center.

WHEN IS MONSTER JAM IN MINNESOTA

There are three shows scheduled for St. Paul. Two shows are slated for Saturday, July 18th - one at Noon and one at 6 p.m.. The other show is a Noon start on Sunday, July 19th.

Several fan-favorite trucks are currently scheduled to appear (lineup subject to change) at the St. Paul stop. They include (my three-year-old son's favorite) Grave Digger, El Toro Loco, (my older son's favorite) Megalodon, Earth Shaker, Monster Mutt (Dalmatian), ThunderROARus, Jurassic Attack and Velociraptor.

Tickets for the show go on sale to the public on Monday, March 10th.

A typical Monster Jam show lasts between two and three hours including an intermission. Events include a two-wheel competition, races and a freestyle competition that is typically the highlight of the evening.
