Kids Perform at Halftime—Join the Dance Camp Led by Pro Dancers
Hi friends! It’s Megan from US104.9 AND the Quad City Steamwheelers Deckmate Dancers, and I have something SO special to invite you to.
If your kiddo loves to dance (or even just wants to try something new), this is their moment!
Quad City Steamwheelers Hosting Junior Dance Camp for Local Youth
Young dancers across the Quad Cities will have the opportunity to learn from professionals and perform in front of a live crowd during an upcoming dance camp hosted by the Quad City Steamwheelers.
The organization’s Deckmate Dancers are inviting kids ages 4 to 18 to take part in their Junior Dance Camp, set for Sunday, April 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Vibrant Arena at The MARK.
Learning from the Pros
Participants will spend the afternoon learning choreography directly from the Deckmate Dancers, the official dance team that performs during Steamwheelers home games. The camp is designed for all skill levels, giving both beginners and experienced dancers a chance to build confidence, improve technique, and experience what it’s like to be part of a professional game-day environment.
Performance Opportunity at Halftime
Following the camp, all participants will take the field during halftime of the Steamwheelers game on April 26, where they will perform the routine they learned in front of fans.
Each dancer will also receive a camp t-shirt and a ticket to the game, making the experience both instructional and memorable.
Registration Details
The cost to attend is $50 per camper. Families interested in signing up can find additional information and register online through the Steamwheelers’ official website.
The Junior Dance Camp offers a unique opportunity for young performers in the Quad Cities to learn from professionals, gain performance experience, and be part of the excitement of a live football game.
