Drivers traveling northbound on S. Main will be impacted between Loomis Street and Morgan Street, where lanes will be closed during construction. Clearly marked routes will be posted as motorists are detoured at 15th Avenue, and can travel west to Central Avenue, or east to Kishwaukee to continue north.
One-Day Project Weather Permitting
Local access within the construction zone will remain open for businesses and residential properties, with drivers being urged to slow down, follow posted work zone speed limits, and remain alert for crews working near traffic lanes.

According to the press release, work is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Friday, February 20. But, with a possibility of snow and inclement weather, officials noted that progress is dependent on favorable weather conditions.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes to avoid delays.
