Wisconsin State Fair Lands on List of Best Fairs in America
I've always loved fair season, especially the Illinois and Wisconsin State Fairs because they're so massive and there's so much to do!
Around this time of year, so many fairs and festivals are happening around the country. It's not just a Midwest thing, but, boy, do we love a state fair with plenty of food to try!
Yes, that's why I go: for the food. It's all about the turkey legs, corn on the cob, deep fried everything, and walking off all the calories within a couple hours.
According to Yelp, fairgoers keep coming back for both nostalgic food favorites and over-the-top creations, from deep-fried bites to portable eats like spaghetti and meatballs on a stick. Minnesota actually earned the top spot thanks to crow favorites including warm chocolate chip cookies, fried chicken waffle cones and fried cheese curds, but Wisconsin's fair food scene clearly holds its own, too.

As someone who loves state fairs, I wasn't surprised to see Wisconsin ranked second. The Wisconsin State Fair is insanely fun and the artist lineup gets bigger and better every year!
