Some teachers make a difference in the classroom, and some completely change the way a child feels about learning.  Our new Teacher of the Week is being recognized for her patience, encouragement, and the incredible effort she put into helping every student succeed at their own pace.

Congratulations, Madison Ernst from Constance Lane in Rockford!

Jodi Loendorf & her daughter Nova wrote this sweet letter about Ms. Ernst!

"Ms. Ernst should be teacher of the week because she’s kind, patient and always pushes students to do their best. She has made such a positive impact in my daughter’s life. She has been nothing short of supportive, and never gave up on my daughter. As a result, my daughter went from struggling to now being on target in reading and above grade level in math."

"I attribute this improvement to Ms.Ernst’s welcoming and encouraging attitude, but also to the way she evaluates and supports each student’s individual needs. Lately she’s been going above and beyond, working hard to put together individualized homework packets for each and every student based on their own academic goals. I have never seen a teacher put that much effort and dedication into making sure that each student is learning at their individual level and thought that it was simply amazing she was willing to put that much time outside of school into her students."

As Teacher of the Week, Ms. Ernst was surprised with a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, money to spend at WM Day Spa Salon, and lunch courtesy of Redd Insurance Group.
