Imagine stopping for gas and a slice of pizza and casually walking out $850,000 richer.  That's exactly what happened in Central Illinois.

I've said time and time again that I'd go into hiding if I won the lottery.  I mean, it has to be a million dollars or more, but still.  I'd still be afraid to walk around knowing I have a large amount of money to my name.

A Lucky Day Lotto ticket matching all five numbers - 1-5-7-14-24 - won the $850,000 jackpot in the February 10th evening drawing.  The winning ticket was sold at a Casey's General Store in Washington, Illinois.

The winner has one year to claim the prize, which honestly makes me wonder if they even know they won?  The store that sold the winning ticket also gets a little bonus for the good luck.  Casey's will receive $8,500m which is 1% of the total jackpot.  Not a bad deal!

Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.  Lottery officials highly recommend signing the back of the ticket right away and keeping it in a safe spot until you decide to come forward.  Just in case any loss or theft occurs.
