New Study Reveals Which Chicago Baseball Fans Drink The Most
Chicago baseball fans don't just drink during the game; they take it to a whole other level.
A new survey of nearly 3500 MLB fans ranked which fan bases eat and drink the most at games.
White Sox fans, not Cubs fans, tied for the highest average number of drinks consumed during games, at 2.5 beers per game.
The Cubs weren't far behind, ranking 6th for in-game beers, averaging 2.2.

White Sox Fans Tie for Highest Average Beer Consumption in MLB
Almost three out of four Cubs fans say they have at least one alcoholic drink during the game, and they also ranked 5th in pregame drinking, averaging 1.3 drinks before first pitch.
I can explain that part pretty easily. The bars. There are plenty of them around Wrigley Field, so it makes sense that Cubs fans who typically drink during the game would go have a "pre-gamer" beforehand.

Brewers Fans Match Chicago's Drinking Habits
Not to be outdone, Milwaukee Brewers fans like to tie one on during the game, too, as they tied for 7th for drinks during games at 2.1 per game and 5th in pregame drinks at 1.3 per game.
So the White Sox fans ranked as baseball's biggest in-game drinkers, while Cubs fans also landed in the top tier. Seems like this rivalry extends beyond what's happening on the field.
