Wild Ride In Wisconsin: Teens Just Stole $500K Luxury SUVs
A band of teenagers just went on a wild ride over in Wisconsin after they stole several luxury SUVs worth over half a million dollars.
Wisconsin may be known as America's Dairyland, but these teenagers traded in milking cows for high-speed chases with authorities after they broke into a car dealership and stole several luxury SUVs earlier this month.
According to this story from Fox 6 TV in Milwaukee, the heist took place in the early morning hours on Sunday, February 18th. Police released three surveillance videos that show a group of teens breaking into the Land Rover Waukesha luxury car dealership, located about 19 miles west of Milwaukee.

Once they got inside, they found where the key fobs to several luxury SUVs were stored, started the SUVs, and used one of them to smash through the glass garage doors to get out of the dealership, the story said.
Another video then shows the teens driving off in several stolen vehicles, the total value of which was estimated to be a whopping $583,339! According to the Fox 6 story, nine total vehicles were illegally taken by these teens:
- 2021 Land Rover-Range Rover Westminster
- 2023 BMW X5 M50i
- 2021 Jaguar F Type R-Dynamic
- 2023 Range Rover Sport P440
- 2019 Porsche Macan
- 2024 Range Rover Velar (2)
- 2024 Land Rover Discovery Dynamic
- 2020 Land Rover-Range Rover
This story from the Associated Press said police eventually arrested one teenager-- a 17-year-old from Chicago-- after he crashed the stolen SUV he was driving during a police pursuit along I-94. Police believe a known gang from the Chicago area to be responsible for the burglaries. Six of the nine stolen SUVs have been recovered, the AP said.
You can watch the incredible video below. And, I have to say, having grown up behind the Cheddar Curtain over in Wisconsin, me and my friends never would have dreamed of trying anything as brazen as the behavior in these videos! Heck, I wouldn't even want to legit take one a test drive TODAY, knowing I likely couldn't afford to buy it!
Of course, we all know that such blatant criminal activity would NEVER happen here in Minnesota, right? (I'm kidding, of course, because while this crime did happen to take place over in Wisconsin, it likely could just as easily happened here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.)
