The food court at Costco locations in Minnesota are quietly rolling out a brand new dessert item. And let's just say if you're a fan of minty-chocolate deliciousness, it's something you're going to want to check out.

To say that the Costco Wholesale chain is popular in the U.S. right now might be a bit of an understatement. As of September 2025, Costco is the third-largest retailer in the entire country, according to data from Retail Customer Experience, coming in behind Walmart and Amazon.

Costco is also ranked at #11 on the list of Fortune 500 companies, and its market value is approximately $435 billion, placing it once again third in retail market capitalization after Amazon and Walmart, Wikipedia noted. And now it's quietly rolling out a new dessert item at its food courts that has customers excited.

What is the New Costco Double Chocolate Mint Sundae?

And if you're a dessert fan, you'll want to plan a stop at your local Costco soon to check out its new Double Chocolate Mint Sundae. According to a story from Foodbeast, the new dessert item is being rolled out at Costco food courts across the country, and should be making its way here to Minnesota, if it's not already here.

Foodbeast describes the new Double Chocolate Mint Sundae, which is apparently replacing Costco's Caramel Brownie Sundae for a limited time, like this:

The Double Chocolate Mint Sundae features mint soft serve layered with chocolate cookie crumbles and chocolate sauce, gently swirled into a mint-green-and-brown tie-dye situation that looks way more dramatic than its $2.99 price tag suggests.

A Sweet Upgrade Over Previous Costco Food Court Changes

Foodbeast noted that the new sundae started making appearances at Costco food courts earlier this month, along with the standalone mint soft serve, but did not have any information on how long it will be on the menu.

Being a fan of both mint and chocolate, this is one change I can get behind! It'll likely be way more popular than when Costco replaced its clamshell containers with plastic bags for its rotisserie chicken, which the chain did back in 2024.

And while Costco is one of the top brands around today, will it ALWAYS be that way? Maybe not, seeing as there are many brands that were once very popular and well-known but that now no longer exist. Keep scrolling to see how many YOU remember!
