Downtown Next Door, Rochester, MN

This initiative is called Downtown Next Door and was put together by Rochester Downtown Alliance and Destination Medical Center.

It not only gives us cool, new places to shop downtown, but it also provides these local entrepreneurs a unique opportunity:

1. They can show off their work and business to more potential customers.

2. They get a spot in downtown Rochester without committing to a long-term lease. It's like a trial run.

3. They have the opportunity to turn the pop-up shop into a long-term brick-and-mortar location.

What a great idea!

I have to take a peek downtown myself sometime, but from what I can see online, there's one shop that's for sure open in the four available storefronts.

The four storefronts are located at:

325 South Broadway

328 South Broadway

324 South Broadway

320 South Broadway

Rochester Downtown Alliance mentions that more storefronts may be added to this program in the future.

The shop is a boutique called Sal Terrae Boutique. It's owned by a mom and her two daughters, and they sell super cute clothes in sizes up to 3x. Their hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 AM - 7 PM. I definitely want to check them out sometime!

Hopefully we'll hear about more pop-up shops in downtown, this is awesome!
