Rochester Public Library Opens Construction Viewing Area
Construction has taken over Rochester, MN. One place that's under construction right now is right outside of the Rochester Public Library downtown. They're working on building out the Link bus station there, so there are tons of machines moving around, lots of dirt being dug up.
The library saw an opportunity: The construction is right in front of some giant windows in the library, so they set it up as a 'Construction Viewing Area'. What a great idea!

Construction Viewing Area at the Rochester Public Library
This Construction Viewing Area is on the first floor of the library. It's seriously perfect for the kiddos who love big machines or are fascinated by construction in general.
In addition to the big windows right where the construction is happening, the library has also set it up as a learning opportunity. There are signs with different information about the equipment being used and a display of construction-related books.

If your littles would really enjoy this, make sure to head to the library before the construction is over. I know, it feels like it's never ending, but eventually it will come to an end, I promise!
As always, the library is free to visit! The best area to park is in the Civic Center Ramp (which is free after 5 PM on the weekdays and all day on the weekends). The library is open Mondays through Thursdays 10 AM - 8 PM and Fridays through Sundays 10 AM - 6 PM.
