Old homes are absolutely beautiful. I love the history they carry and if there are pieces original to the home, like woodwork, that's the biggest appeal to old homes for me. So I really enjoy looking at older houses and I recently came across this one for sale in the small town of Corwith, Iowa.

It's listed for less than $50,000! The home does need work but that seems like a huge steal.

My husband and I don't own a home yet but we keep talking about the idea of owning an older home. However, there's an obvious appeal to newer homes, because then there's less elbow grease that has to go into it. But this home in Corwith is one of those houses that reminds me why I want to own an older one.

The kitchen was the first place that told me the house needs some love.

Right now there's only one bathroom but I'm sure you could put in another one somewhere if necessary, even if it's just a half bath.

There are also 3 bedrooms. That ceiling is scary though. There might be some big issues with the roof.

But because of the history, the original woodwork, the charm, and the price tag, this place is going to be a steal for someone!
