Rochester Is Getting HOT!…Or Is That Just The New Mobile Sauna?
One luxury in life that I'm a fan of is a sauna. There is nothing better than sitting in a sauna in Minnesota on a cold, freezing day. I LOVE sitting in a sauna. A Rochester business is bringing that sauna love to their store and showing off Rochester's only mobile sauna. Yes...a sauna on wheels!
Old Abe Coffee Co. Bringing a Mobile Sauna to Rochester Store
Years ago, I used to teach classes and workout at WOW. Remember that place? Workout World? Today, it is Northgate and I haven't been in there to see if the sauna is still in the women's locker room but that was one of my favorite places to go during the winter months. Saunas are amazing and if you've been looking for one in the Med City, there is a mobile sauna rolling up to a business in town on February 18th and 19th.
Let's get sweaty! Feb 18/19. Two days only. Old Abe is bringing Rochester's only mobile sauna, Sauna Life, to our Cooke Park shop. Grab a date or some friends and book a two-hour timeslot. Sauna Life will bring the heat; Old Abe will bring the cold drinks and bites. Each ticket includes two hour access to the stoked sauna and cold bath, a bucket of adult and NA beverages and a few snacks.

Work up a cleansing sweat and then jump in the cold snow/bath. Repeat. You'll feel reborn. Max 6 people per two-hour session. Bathroom and changing area provided. Did You Know That The Public Can Use The Sauna at the Rochester Athletic Club?
I did a little searching to see where I could use a sauna, because I am now realizing that I'm missing this awesome amenity, and I found a hidden gem in Rochester. Apparently, if you get a massage at the RAC, you can use their sauna and a whole bunch of other features. It's not even that expensive, either!

I'm not sure if HydroMassage is included in the "massage" but if you haven't tried that, it is fabulous! Planet Fitness has two of these and sometimes I go to "workout" and just lay down and let the water do its thing. At the RAC, a 10 minute HydroMassage is just $5 plus tax. The RAC has massage therapists that offer a variety of services. The most affordable one is a chair or table massage for $25. Learn more about other options at www.racmn.com.
