
Caught On Camera: Storm Chasers Capture Tornado Touchdown in Southern Minnesota
When Reed Timmer and the "Dominator 3" announce that they are headed to Minnesota to chase tornadoes, you know that severe weather is on the way. Not only did he show up and spot tornadoes in the Land of 10,000 Lakes on Monday, April 13th, 2026, but several other storm chasers did as well - and they got photos.
My sister and brother-in-law were one of the many hitting the side roads in Southern Minnesota on Monday hoping to be in the right spot at the right time. Based on the photos I got from them, it looks like they have mastered the art of storm chasing.

Caught On Camera - Tornado That Touched Down in Minnesota On Monday, April 13th, 2026
About a year ago, storm chasers Julie and Eric Amend caught on camera the devastating tornado that destroyed the town of Minden in Iowa.

Today, they hit the road again as severe weather alerts started to pop up for multiple areas in Minnesota. Before the found what they were chasing, they ran into a few other storm chasers, including Reed Timmer and the Dominator 3.
I will say, if I saw that beast of a machine on I-35 heading toward me, I'd be concerned...but would also want to follow it. I love storms, especially severe weather that produce tornadoes.
I didn't hitch a ride with my sister for this chase but I have 100% regret...because they did actually see a tornado touch down and rip some trees out of the ground as it dropped to the East of Odin, Minnesota.
