When my kid first got behind the wheel of my car at started driving, I remember being absolutely terrified.  Not sure if I was more concerned about my car getting totaled by someone who had never been behind the wheel or that I had absolutely zero control as my baby pushed on the gas.

One kid in Minnesota didn't just learn how to drive...he got behind the wheel of a combine and over 5 million people watched this first-time solo driving adventure.

5 Million People Have Watched This Boy In Minnesota Drive A Combine For The First Time

Just this past weekend, I was driving through the backroads of Iowa and Minnesota and saw so many trucks and tractors out in the fields.  I was amazed that a few fields even had crops growing already...before Mother's Day.

I also learned this weekend that there is one very famous farmer that lives in Lowry, Minnesota.  Some know him as Zach Johnson, the fifth-generation corn and soybean farmer.  Others know him as Millennial Farmer.

10 years ago, Zach Johnson hit record as he was going about his day on his farm.  According to MPR, his goal was to help close the gap between farmers and the people who eat their food.  Explaining what life is really like on the farm - those real moments - has helped his YouTube channel reach over one million YouTube subscribers.

One of those moments was when his son, Onyx, got behind the wheel of the combine, and Zach handed him the keys.

It's greasy out in the field but we're gonna get it done today and wrap up Harvest 2021. Onyx receives his first combine lesson. The throttle is a bit touchy but he will have it figured out in no time! There was no shortage of cab corn and no bunnies were harmed in the making of this video. We even got to pull out the Moline after Dad got the header trailer stuck in the mud. - @Millennial Farmer on YouTube

Real life.  Real moments.  That's what the Millennial Farmer YouTube channel is showing.

At 13 years old, Onyx has his first official solo-ride as a combine operator...and in true Millennial Farmer fashion, it was caught on camera.

Today, over 5 million people have watched that video - and I am sure that there are some future farmers who are being inspired every time that "play" button is hit to see Onyx go down that field.
