A Florida Man was arrested this last week, and the reports say that the suspect lied about his identity.

Officers patrolling a fishing pier and entertainment park in Clearwater, Florida came up on a guy who perfectly matched the description of "a subject with an active arrest warrant" that was issued in a nearby county.

Because they had already had some prior interactions, the police already knew the guy was 30-year-old transient Josiah Darling. Darling was recently arrested for trespassing and was wanted for failing to appear for his January court hearing.

When Officer Matthew Capone asked the suspect to identify himself, as the report reads, "the defendant responded with 'George Costanza."

Obviously, it's too recognizable of a name. You'd think if you were going to pick someone like Kenny Bania.

Right after police got the name Costanza from the guy, they put his face through their facial recognition system and came back with the correct identity.

Darling was arrested on the outstanding trespass warrant, had a charge of resisting an officer tacked on, and was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.

He pleaded no contest in his first appearance to the resisting arrest charge, and has to pay fines and court costs of about $550.
