Not every Midwest street looks boring.

If you've ever been abroad, you know the cobblestone streets, the old buildings, and the decor make for some beautiful streets. It's no wonder everyone walks around in Europe.

Architectural Digest has released their list of the 71 Most Beautiful Streets In The World. You could probably predict some of them. Mykonos, Greece has the vibrant blue and white Greek island look:

Many of the streets on the list have vibrant-colored houses, large trees along the way, or like the road in Telluride, Colorado, beautiful mountains surrounding the main road.

But a road in Chicago found itself on the list too.

DuSable Lake Shore Drive ranked #41 on the list.

Chicago's shore-side road lands on the list because it gets you the view of a waterfront with the city skyline. AD says about the road:

With the towering skyline on one side and the shore of Lake Michigan on the other, DuSable Lake Shore Drive is the perfect way to take in the Windy City. Grant Park, Museum Campus, and Soldier Field are set along the expressway and the 18-mile Lakefront Trail runs parallel to the busy street for those who wish to explore on foot.

It's the only Midwest street that made the list.

We know it was always just Lake Shore Drive but was renamed in 2021 in honor of Jean Baptiste Point DuSable, a Black trader who is widely regarded as the founder of Chicago.

In case you're wondering, the most beautiful street in the world is thought to be in Colmar, France.
