
Minnesota Baseball Association Final Weekend Set
The State Amateur Baseball Tournament experienced some exciting games this weekend to determine the final 8 teams in each class for Labor Day weekend.
There will be a new champion in Class A after Baseball 365 edged Miesville 3-2 in a walkoff at Shakopee Sunday.
Mason Wolf scored the winning run on a grounder to second base, Miesville's Max Moris threw home to Marshall Gordon but the run scored.
Ryan Barker started on the mound for the Mudhens going 7 innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs with 6 strikeouts and 4 walks. Trevor Koenig took the loss after throwing the final 1 1/3 innings, giving up 2 hits, 1 run with 2 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Lead-off batter for Baseball 365 Brandon Schmahl tallied 3 hits and Chris Odegard achieved the win relieving the final two innings with one walk allowed.
Baseball 365 finished the game with 3 runs on 6 hits with 2 errors and 12 runners left on base. Miesville had 2 runs on 7 hits with 1 error and 10 runners were stranded.
Saturday the St. Patrick Irish blanked Stockmen's Irish 4-0 to score a date Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in New Prague with the Sartell Muskies.
St. Patrick had three pitchers contribute to the 4-hit shutout victory with Evan Esch going 7 innings with 2 hits, 4 strikeouts, 1 walk while throwing 66 pitches, 51 strikes. Daniel Zang threw and inning and Zak Endres threw an inning.
St. Patrick had 4 stolen bases in the game and Kashton Bodden led the 10-hit offense with a couple RBI. He was joined by three other players with 2 hits each. St. Patrick left 8 runners, Stockmens stranded 5 on the bases.

Class C 2025 Champion Pierz was ousted in the first round. The four quarterfinals feature all games at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2026.
