Becker’s Only Head Coach Aims For State Playoff Run In Season 57
BECKER (WJON News) -- Becker's only head football coach ever will kick off his 57th, and final, season this Thursday.
Lundeen says technology is the biggest change he's seen in his 57-year career on the sideline.
From 8mm, to 16mm, to VHS, to now we have a 48-inch color TV on the sideline. The defense goes out there for 10 plays, they come off the field, and within seconds they can watch all the plays.
Lundeen says weight training and nutrition have also changed a lot, with the kids getting bigger, stronger, and faster.

Lundeen's Bulldogs are ranked #7 in Class AAAA and will be hosting #3-ranked Orono at 7:00 p.m.
Orono is coming to our place. They won the state this last year. We won it the year before. I think it's going to be an epic game that people will want to come and see. We're excited about it. I have the biggest senior class in my 57 years coaching. We have 36 seniors.
He says he wants to keep the focus on the team.
I told the guys there's nothing that would make me happier, and nothing would be more pleasing to me than to take this group of seniors down to U.S. Bank Stadium and get into the state playoffs.
Lundeen's teams have won four state championships in 2005, 2014, 2015, and 2024.
Lundeen is Minnesota's second-winningest high school football coach with 417 wins. He trails Verndale's Mike Mahlen, who has 440 wins.
