St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Lake City man suffered critical injuries in a motorcycle crash this morning in St. Paul.

Lake City Man Critically Injured

The State Patrol is reporting that the serious injury crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. where Highway 61 intersects with Burns Avenue, just south of the I-94 interchange. The crash report indicates an SUV and a motorcycle were both traveling north on Highway 61 when the driver of the SUV attempted to turn right onto Burns Avenue and collided with the motorcycle.

Life-Threatening Injuries

The State Patrol identified the motorcyclist as 48-year-old Justin Ohde of Lake City. He was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with life-threatening injuries.

The crash report indicates he was not wearing a helmet.

SUV Driver Not Injured

The driver of the SUV, 55-year-old Sheryl Boyce of Cottage Grove, was not hurt. The State Patrol says she was using a seatbelt and alcohol was not involved.
