Authorities Investigating Possible Minnesota House Explosion That Injured Two
Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities say a possible house explosion caused a fire that injured two young men in southern Minnesota.

First responders were dispatched to the incident shortly after 1:30 Tuesday morning. Responding crews found and extinguished a structure fire at the home.
The fire and possible explosion occurred at a home in the 1400 block of North 4th St. in Mankato.
A news release issued by the Mankato Department of Public Safety says the fire, which was found in the home’s laundry room, could’ve been caused by an explosion.
A 19-year-old man and 20-year-old man were at the residence at the time of the possible explosion and fire, the news release says.
Officials say the men were able to escape the structure despite their injuries before first responders arrived.
The men were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their names and medical conditions have not been released.
Officials have estimated the damages at $245,000. The investigation into the explosion and fire is ongoing.
